Moving day creates several different address records. Updating one does not update the others. Start with the accommodation record, then work through the accounts you actually use. The steps below distinguish a national registration duty from examples of provider account controls.
Register the new place where you stay
If you move into a home rather than a hotel, the National Immigration Administration's accommodation guidance says the foreign resident or host must register the accommodation with the public security authority for the new place within 24 hours of arrival. The NIA also describes a national online registration route through its government service platform. Check the submitted address and view the resulting registration record; do not assume the earlier home's record has been updated merely because you changed a delivery address. A hotel registers its guests under a different process.
Check your phone account
Look at the contact address stored by your mobile operator. For example, China Mobile Guangdong's privacy guidance describes an app route for correcting a contact address and directs customers to a service office for some identity changes. That is one provincial operator's process, not a universal menu. Ask your own operator which address it holds, whether it needs updating, and what identification it will accept. Keep your existing number working while bank and delivery confirmations are pending.
Check your bank's contact details
Review the address and phone number linked to each bank account, especially if the bank sends account notices or cards by post. ICBC's mainland help page describes viewing and changing reserved contact information, including address, in mobile banking. Other banks may require a branch visit or extra identity checks. Verify that the new information is shown after saving; a failed login or an inaccessible old phone number is a reason to contact the bank through its official service channel.
Separate saved addresses from parcels already moving
Update the saved receiving address in each delivery account before placing another order. SF Express's privacy policy says supported channels allow customers to modify saved sending and receiving addresses, but some channels do not offer that control. It also describes contacting customer service to request a change to a shipment's delivery address. A changed address book entry does not redirect an existing parcel. For anything already dispatched, use the tracking number and ask that carrier whether rerouting is possible. Check the revised destination in the carrier's confirmation before relying on it.
Keep a simple list of which records you checked and when. The official authority or provider must confirm its own requirements; this checklist does not turn a commercial account update into an immigration filing.
